Annual Grand Iftar
The Annual Grand Iftar with the Palestinian community in Malaysia is one of the grandest events of PCOM. Since 2011, PCOM has effectively organized events which were attended by thousands of Palestinian and Malaysian friends. The occasion has consistently received local politicians, non-governmental organizations, educational institutions as well as media agencies.
Palestine Advocacy Week
Palestine Advocacy Week is a one-week campaign in cooperation with other Malaysian organizations. The campaign includes training session, forum, public talks as well as official and NGO meetings. It is to set up constructive and open dialogue towards the Palestinian issue and mobilize support among the Malaysian society in its various categories. The target audiences are university students, non-governmental organizations as well as media agencies.
Humanitarian Outreach Program
PCOM has a local and global networks of non-governmental organizations whose mission is to make humanitarian action more principled and effective by working collectively and independently to influence policy and practice. One of the central principles of Islam is helping others as helping another human being is a fundamental aspect of Islam. “Whosoever removes a worldly grief from a believer, Allah will remove from him one of the griefs of the Day of Judgment. Whosoever alleviates [the lot of] a needy person, Allah will alleviate [his lot] in this world and the next”.
Brilliant kid Project
Refugee Children Empowerment Program – Brilliant Kid is a project in conjunction with Malaysia Humanitarian Aid and Relief (MAHAR). The aims of the program are to develop the knowledge of refugee children and their level of understanding of basic science besides enhancing self-confidence of refugee children and improving their social and practical skills. Brilliant Kid is seeking university students to be part of the project through promoting the voluntary work by providing them the opportunity to help refugee children. The project is designed for supporting knowledge among refugee children through teaching lectures of basic courses. Apart from that, Brilliant Kid also provides a Social and Professional Support through developing personal and professional skills and not mention the Psychological Support through Psychotherapy and entertainment programs, and enhancing Islamic values, teachings, and practices.
The Palestine Library
The Palestine Library at PCOM office aims to function as a knowledge hub for the intellectual engagement with the question of Palestine. This library provides rich and diverse knowledge resources for individuals and organizations to increases their awareness and understanding of the real story of the Palestinian life and struggle. PCOM official website will provide an online searchable database of bibliographic materials on a wide range of issues, as well as provide a rich and diverse collection of books, journals, films, tapes, maps, posters, and other materials.
Mushaf Palestine
Production of the manuscript of this Mushaf Palestine has been accomplished by Restu Foundation Malaysia in cooperation with Palestinian Cultural Organization Malaysia (PCOM). This is to produce another fully-illuminated Quran manuscript which emphasizes the aesthetic aspects of calligraphy and illumination from the glorious Islamic art tradition especially Palestine art. The structural patterns of each part (juz) of the Quran represents some elements of the Palestinian art.
Mission to Gaza
In 2013, PCOM Board of Trustees and directors led a mission to the Gaza strip which aimed to connect Malaysian officials and activist with their Palestinian counterparts.
BDS Movement
Boycott,Divestment,Sanctions(BDS) is a Palestinian-let global movement for freedom,justice and equality.BDS upholds the simple principle that Palestinians are entitled to the same rights as the rest of humanity.Inspired by the south African anti-apartheid movement,the BDS call urges action to pressure Israel to comply with International law.PCOM is one of the founding members of BDS movement in Malaysia along with other three NGOS; Viva,MyCare,Yayasan Al-Quds Malaysia.
